The second big project Lemac prototyped from start to finish is a free standing water bottle filling station. Our client came to us with an idea for a water bottle filling station that included interactive touch screen displays. The displays can be programmed with maps, advertisements, event announcements, ETAs, and information about the area, making them a perfect fit for places like schools, shopping areas and airports.
Unlike the Baseball Mound project, this prototype was deceptively simple. Simple in that the outside shell needed to be clean and distraction free. Deceptively simple in that the system needed to be freestanding, which meant designing frames that could support all of the components of the system. (Electronics and plumbing included.)
Not only did Lemac make the plastic panels that encase the system, we designed and built the metal framing that holds everything together, and then assembled all of the pieces to make the whole. We were able to construct and complete every aspect of the first prototype, ensuring the concept stayed true to the customer’s original vision.
